Arcon Park Shopping Centre needs your help to raise R50 000 by 31 July 2023, to assist the Sedibeng Children’s Haven with a backup water system which is indispensable to sustaining healthy livelihoods and maintaining these kids’ dignity.

The Sedibeng Children’s Haven is located on the premises of Eventide Old Age Home in Duncanville, Vereeniging. The Haven operates as a private non-profit organization, registered as a Section 21 company, and offers a place of safety homes to children between the ages of 2 to 14 years old. They offer temporary safe care to children that have been removed from their caregivers due to neglect and/or abuse, physical care, emotional care, enrolling the children at a suitable school/nursery, engaging children with fun activities to promote their self-esteem as well as preparing children for their exit plan. Children of all races, cultures, and religions receive care, treatment, and protection at the Haven. Children identified by the Child Protection Unit and relevant Welfare organizations are housed during the children’s court investigation and transition procedures. Approximately 337 children have already passed through the Haven. These children have all benefited from the positive environment and specialized assistance provided by the Haven. The organization desperately needs a backup water system to make the children’s stay at the Haven as comfortable as possible.
